Filosofija, nuo antikos iki dabar.. Q: Why? A: Why Not? :)
.........................................................................................

Bill Bonner: "The books I write are not really about economics, but about philosophy, using the world of money for illustration. I am what other economists call, pejoratively, a 'literary economist'," was our response."

Kaip tamstai liežuvis apsiverčia socio-ekonominę teoriją vadinti nepraktiška? Bijau, kad ir pats Markas su tamsta nesutiktų, cituoju: "Purpose of philosophy is not just to interpret the world, but to change it!”SCnazi wrote:Tuo, kad vulgarusis marxizmas yra "praktiškos filosfijos" pavyzdys. O ne Marx'o filosofija

Tai tik parodo kokia gali būti pavojinga filosofija, ypač kai į ne tas rankas papuola Man kartais susidaro įspūdis jog suprantu atėniečius nunuodijusius Sokratą

"Philosophy is old upper-middle-class-to-rich pedant men at universities (and young autodidacts on the internet) argueing about abstract things that most people don't care about in a language that they largely don't understand, in the context of a long canonic series of texts that goes back to the greeks, which somehow manages to have a lasting impact on the world we live in." - Alex Strekal

Turbūt tiksliausi žodžiai apibūdinantys filosofiją.In what way do you think it's appriciated by the masses? I think most people feel similarly about philosophy as they do when they are confronted with music theory - I.E. they encounter a whole lot of seemingly convoluted language that they can't quite decode because they haven't familiarized themselves with it and to do so would require delving into a canon. I think most people's perception of philosophy is similar to most analytic philosopher's perception of Derrida - confusion, an inability to get anything coherant out of it that they can understand and relate to.
A lot of big name philosophers invent their own idiosyncratic terminology, and then future generations of philosophers and philosophy students engage in commentary refering back to a long chain of texts so that you can't fully understand what they are saying without having read those texts as well and without the idiosyncratic usages of terms of in those texts being made clear upfront. Add problems of translation to the mix, particularly for the French and German philosophers, and we have a recipe for confusion. (Alex Strekal)

Man patinka jo grynai prgmatinis požiūris į viską.
