Noriu pakalbėti apie batshit crazy atvejus, kurių gausa man pradeda kelti nerimą.
http://www.japantoday.com/category/nati ... m-protestsThe Museum of Fine Arts Boston is cancelling “Kimono Wednesdays” after protesters decried the event as racist.
In a statement, the museum apologized for offending some visitors with the event, where museum goers were encouraged to don the traditional Japanese garments and pose in front of Claude Monet’s “La Japonaise.”

Bahar Mustafa also banned white men from a university event on diversifying the curriculum at Goldsmiths University, London.

The move means buildings that are dedicated to legendary innovators such as James Watt and Adam Smith could be renamed in favour of women’s rights activists and black academics.

When asked what white people should do because of it, Kotsko said whites "should commit mass suicide:"
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/57658 ... out-it.htmWhat did all of these actors have in common? They are all white. To our, or anyone's knowledge, no person of color was even considered for the role. Despite the fact that there is no particular reason that enforces Peter Parker's trend toward whiteness, a black, Latino, or Asian characterization is apparently unacceptable
Dar toliau link absurdiškumo šioj srity nuėjo neseniai kilusi vadinamoji kontroversija dėl žaidimo The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, sukurto pagal Sapkovskio knygas. Kurios, savo ruožtu, aprašo fiktyvų a la vėlyvųjų viduramžių pasaulį, paremtą daugiausia slavų bei vakarų Europos istorija ir mitologija. Dėl ko kilo kontroversija? Kad žaidime nėra juodaodžių veikėjų.

I'm not against racism being depicted; the game actually portrays racism and bigotry as bad. But even elves have the opportunity to exist. People of color don't.
http://www.polygon.com/2015/6/3/8719389 ... ce-problemI am a white, male poet—a white, male poet who is aware of his privilege and sensitive to inequalities facing women, POC, and LGBTQ individuals in and out of the writing community—but despite this awareness and sensitivity, I am still white and still male. Sometimes I feel like the time to write from my experience has passed, that the need for poems from a white, male perspective just isn’t there anymore, and that the torch has passed to writers of other communities whose voices have too long been silenced or suppressed.
Mokyti studentus Šekspyro? That's just crazy talk, juk jis baltasis!
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ans ... mmon-core/I am a high school English teacher. I am not supposed to dislike Shakespeare. But I do. And not only do I dislike Shakespeare because of my own personal disinterest in reading stories written in an early form of the English language that I cannot always easily navigate, but also because there is a WORLD of really exciting literature out there that better speaks to the needs of my very ethnically-diverse and wonderfully curious modern-day students.
I do not believe that I am “cheating” my students because we do not read Shakespeare. I do not believe that a long-dead, British guy is the only writer who can teach my students about the human condition.
